ANet, please fix the Necrotic Exploit in Jade Quarry
So one of the nice things about this latest weekend event is people actually went to Jade Quarry, so many that the wait to get in on the Kurzick side started approaching the wait to get into Ft Aspenwood on the Luxon side. It's a fun map, and I was always disappointed that nobody ever played it. Unfortunately, in the past hour or so my enjoyment of this arena has been more or less ruined thanks to a new exploit.
If you run to the (right for Kurzicks, left for Luxons) as soon as you load into the map, you'll find a guard post manned by enemy archers just outside your base. These can be fairly easily killed by ranged attacks or hexes. Any N/x or x/N can then use Necrotic Traversal or Consume Corpse to teleport into the main portion of the arena well before the match starts. This in turn allows them to start claiming mines before the match starts, which is a huge advantage if the teams are even remotely even (not uncommon for them to not be due to leechers & leavers having discovered the Jade Quarry as well ).
I used to really enjoy the Jade Quarry during the FPE and right after Factions came out. Hopefully ANet will fix this exploit so I and others can enjoy it again.

It's important for Anet to make money, so yeah it'll be fixed real quick I expect.

I had never realised this before (maybe it's because I RARELY play Quarry, although I'm starting to play it more frequently now). Yes, this is a problem, and should be fixed as the Kaanai Canyon glitch was.
Cross your fingers, report it to ANet, and wait a day or two.

I knew about the ability to kill and exploit the Archers, but I was just using them to make minions.

ROFL... OK just like EoE just leave it to the PvPrs to ruin a perfectly good spell. This is totally outrageous.....
THUMBS UP TO PvPrs... Leave it to PvP outside the box thinking for something like this... PLEASE KILL PvE some more why don't you...

Is that sarcasm? Are you seriously griping at pvpers for "thinking outside the box" as you put it?
I wasn't aware consume corpse or necrotic traversal were used in pve anyways.

Many nerfes are made because of PvPers who exploited it. This is not the first one. Most of what you call "Thinking outside the box" is nothing but searching for flaws in the game mechanics and rules, so you can easily defeat the opponent.

The problem is, without them redesigning the area (not likely) they can't really do much about the exploit. Both sides however can do it, so atleast it's a 'fair' exploit

It would be easiest to put some sort of "blackout" effect on everyone when they enter the game that lasts as long as the countdown. That would have fixed the EOE sack exploit too, or at least given people time to flee from it.

Morganas, I like that idea the most of them all, and would have been a better descision than just nerfing EoE like ANet did.

I also found this out today, and was surprised no one found it out sooner. I've seen teammates use it and it definitely gives us an edge. Unfortunately, I think it's bad game design on ANet's part.
Hmm, I dunno how an appropriate "fix" can be. They could make it like shadow-stepping, but then that could cause some problems in Urgoz(though there's still the rebirth method).
Otherwise, they could make everyone invulnerable, people and NPCs included, before the match actually starts.

They could just modify the map and make cliffing impossible... after all everyone's had their share of "WTF Obstructed? /rq" and this would actually be a good reason for obstruction.

ArenaNet should just disable some skills until the match starts.
